Chani Unger

This site, has been in the past, a blog and an infrequent insight into a girl who caught the bus home from school.

As she has grown so has the content; to encompass a portfolio of writing which includes not only her unique ponderings on life’s simple pleasures, but also work that she has written for her university coursework or has had published on external media sites.

Chani Unger, born August 14 1991, is the eldest of four children with three younger brothers. She is a final year Bachelor of Journalism student at La Trobe University’s Bundoora campus.

She is Australian born however her father is Chilean and has subsequently grown up with the tastes of empanadas and good cumbia music. She has a passion for writing and loves to read signs that the rest of the world seem to neglect. She also loves to surprise people with the questions they themselves never ask; she has a thirst for knowledge and an insatiable curiosity for the ‘what if?’ and ‘why?’. She ponders some of these questions on this website.

As a member of generation Y, she has grown quite accustomed to describing herself, especially in the third person because of the vast number of social media profiles she has set up in order to keep up with her peers. However she is not completely vain; she is a regular blood donor, a registered organ donor, and if she remembers to ask for the forms at her next blood bank appointment, she will be a registered bone marrow donor as well.
